| Large equipment clearing stumps grading (leveling) the site in preparation of the soldier piles.
Moderate noise levels, from equipment. Relocating site signs, installing temporary site fencing, building temporary access to library. Moderate noise levels, no major impact to surrounding buildings. |

| 10/15 - 11/30 | Soldier Piles |
| Medium size crane on site to hoist vibratory hammer and soldier piles (steel H beams) driving piles into the ground approximately 50 feet.
This will be one of the louder activities; vibration will be felt in surrounding buildings. This will be one of the more impactive activities in the construction process. Relocating site signs, installing temporary site fencing, building temporary access to library. Moderate noise levels, no major impact to surrounding buildings. |

| 10/22 - 11/30 | Excavation |
| Large excavation equipment will be on site with large dump trucks entering and exiting the parking lot and site several times each hour.
The noise will be mainly equipment noise and the sounds of large trucks moving around. This period will be one of the busiest for traffic in the parking lot area. |

| Foundations | 11/19/07 - 2/15/08 |
| 11/19 - 2/15 | Footings and Foundation Walls |
| Carpenters will be in the excavated holes forming the sides of the footings and foundation walls. Concrete trucks and a concrete pump truck will be on site on the necessary days to place concrete in the forms.
This activity is a moderate noise level activity. On concrete pour days which will be announced in greater detail, the concrete trucks will be frequent. The noise level will increase slightly due to the increased activity and truck traffic. |

| A large hydraulic crane will be on site for the duration of the steel erection. There will also be large trucks transporting the steel.
This equipment will produce a moderate amount of noise potentially disruptive to classes, there is banging noise associated with the steel erection when setting columns and beams in place. |
